Prof George Morris is Honorary Visiting Professor at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health at the University of Exeter Medical School.
Over a long career in environmental health, George has worked in local government, in academia (at Strathclyde and Glasgow Universities), as a Consultant in Environmental Health with NHS Scotland; and as a Scientific Policy Adviser to Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer. He regularly works as a temporary adviser on aspects of environment and human health to the World Health Organisation in Europe. He continues to work with a variety of clients on environmental and, ecological, public health issues. Clients have included include the European Environment Agency and the Dutch Public Health and Environment Institute and Pubic health England and EuroHealthNet.
Over his career, George has published widely on environmental health issues in peer-reviewed journals and was a recent Chapter Author on the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeon’s Report on the life course effects of air pollution.
