This issue of the newsletter looks back on the hard work and preparations that made Clean Air Day 2020 a success.
It came as a national lockdown that saw people stay away from public transport and schools shut down, people were being told to work from home and finally, a curfew on pubs and other licensed premises across the central belt would have spelled doom for most national campaigns.
The decision meant the event was delayed from its traditional June date to Thursday October 8th. This gave us some further opportunities as people were more receptive to the positive messages about the benefits of active travel, health and their impact on air quality.
The EPS team of Clare, Elina and John began digging the foundations for its third Clean Air Day campaign, coordinated on behalf of the Scottish Government, in early September.
