EPS members are being offered a discounted delegate rate at the Institute of Acoustics (IoA) conference on the World Health Organisation (WHO) environmental noise guidelines conference in Glasgow.
The event on Friday, November 8th at The Lighthouse in Mitchell Lane runs from 10 am to 4 pm and welcomes speakers from Arup, Public Health England and the Scottish Government.
It will examine the WHO’s guidelines, which were published last year, how they were developed and their potential implications for noise and environmental policy.
The programme includes presentations by Charlotte Clark, an associate at Arup, Rupert Thornely-Taylor, an environmental noise consultant, Ben Fenech of the noise and health programme at Public Health England. Ewan Scott and Simon Bonsall will discuss the potential implications for the Scottish Government policy of the revised WHO noise guidelines.
There will also be a workshop led by Stephen Turner, President-Elect of the IoA followed by feedback.
