The EPS Scottish Noise Advisory Group (SNAG) is delighted to announce a new ‘Zoom’ webinar, Soundscapes and the Green Recovery, in association with HBK Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer, is being held on Wednesday, May 26th from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm.
This event will look at the concept of ‘quiet areas where people can switch off from the stresses of everyday normal life and find tranquility in towns and cities, the work of the devolved Welsh administration in developing a noise and soundscape plan, and noise impacts on rural habitats and wildlife.
As we embark on a green recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, will be of interest to planners, local authority noise officers, elected members, MSPs, wildlife and nature organisations acoustics consultants, and anyone with an interest in noise and acoustics.
The speakers are Dr. Sarah Payne Asst Professor of Health in the Built Environment, Heriot-Watt University, Dr. Gareth Arnott Senior Lecturer and Researcher, Institute for Global Food Security, Queen’s University, Belfast, Lisa Lavia, Managing Director, the Noise Abatement Society and Keith Vickers of HBK.
There will be an opportunity for a Q&A and further discussion.
