ENVIRONMENTAL Protection Scotland is delighted to publish our impartial guide to the Scottish election 2021 – with one week to go until polling day.
‘Scottish Parliament election – what does it mean for environmental protection?’ follows the EPS guide to the 2019 General Election.
The 28-page document clearly lists the main environment-related promises being made by the Scottish National Party, Scottish Conservatives, Scottish Labour, Scottish Green Party, and the Scottish Liberal Democrats.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic continues to dominate life, all of the main parties have pledged to action a green recovery and a fair transition for workers as Scotland targets net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045.
The election document contains details of policies; from air quality, to active travel, electric vehicles, hydrogen deployment, infrastructure, public transport, green space, energy efficiency to nature, biodiversity, noise and tackling land ownership and derelict and vacant land.
The election takes place on Thursday May 6th.
