We cannot always predict the next disruption or catastrophe, but we can control how we respond to these challenges.
EPS has secured a first class panel of experts and speakers to discuss this emerging issue, drawing on the experiences of Glasgow and other European cities who are part of a network of 100RCs (resilient cities) supported by the Rockefeller Foundation and how these can be adapted for Scotland.
This event will explore how we can adapt to our challenges and transform them into opportunities for growth.
Topics covered include:
- Keynote address from Annabel Turpie, Head of Resilience at the Scottish Government
- Discussion panel with international Chief Resilience Officers
- What does resilience mean for public bodies in Scotland?
- Natural Hazards and Environmental Impacts
- Emergency Response and Communities
- Resilience Challenge – practical workshop session
